On 30 August, Babylon Soundgarden returns to Bonus Parkorman to unite music and nature once again. Headlining this year’s “Feel Real”-themed festival is Empire of the Sun, making their long-awaited Istanbul debut. It’s worth noting that the Australian electronic duo’s stage shows are visual spectacles in their own right. Drawing on a kaleidoscope of influences—from samurai iconography to Alejandro Jodorowsky’s surreal film Holy Mountain—they’ve created a flamboyant, otherworldly stage persona. Their live performances erupt into a riot of absurd costumes and theatrical set designs, all shaped by their background in visual art and collaborations with creatives like Jessica Huerta.

The line-up also features plenty of acts you’ll be excited to discover: the funk- and groove-fueled energy of Cape Town’s Roi Turbo, fresh off a U.S. tour with Empire of the Sun; viral UK synth-pop duo Good Neighbours, who reached millions with their breakout track “Home”; and Any Young Mechanic with their warm indie-folk sound.

One of Soundgarden’s surprises this year is the talented Italian bassist Victoria De Angelis —who won both the Sanremo Music Festival and Eurovision in 2021 with her band Måneskin— taking the stage in Istanbul with a special DJ set.
